Tappet is a solid adjustable component designed for motorbike engines. The product is suitable for Panhead models manufactured between 1948-1984 and Shovel head models produced between 1966-1984 (NU).
It is designed to be used with 53-84 style tappet blocks and is a non-hydraulic type of tappet. Each tappet weighs 86 grams. Additionally, it must be used with 53-84 B.T. hydraulic style tappet blocks, which are available in polished billet aluminum from Jims as MCS 520033.
It is important to note that the pushrods need to be fabricated separately, as the required length is unknown at JIMS and depends on the specific engine and cam. To complete the set, JIMS 517746 adjuster screw set and 513466 locknut set must be purchased separately.
The standard outer diameter of the tappet is .731".
Motorcycle compatibility: 48-84 Panhead, 66-84 Shovel head (NU), Use with 53-84 style tappet blocks.
